Turas dhan phàirc

Thug Dadaidh aig Calum sinn dhan phàirc chaorach aige airson a shealltainn dhuinn na diofar chaoraich a tha aige. Cuideachd chaidh sinn suas gu pàirc eile far an robh iad uile air falach bhon teas!  Choimhead sinn sìos bunker shònraichte a tha anns a’ phàirc a tha air a bhith ann bho àm a chogaidh.  Bha a chlann airson Mrs MacVicar a chuir ann tha mi smaoineachadh!

Calum’s Dad took us to see the different types of sheep he has in the field next to the school. We also took a walk to see the lambs but they were all hiding away in the trees from the sun!  We had a look at the wartime bunker also and the children wanted to send Mrs MacVicar down!

Cafaidh Gàidhlig

Abair gu robh spòrs againn an-dè nuair a thàinig ar phàrantan aison Cafaidh Gàidhlig. Rinn sinn bèicearachd air Dimàirt, sheinn sinn ‘Air a Chroit aig Calum Ruadh’ le pupaidean agus leugh sinn a-mach na bàrdachd a rinn sinn cuideachd.

Taing do ar phàrantan airson tighinn, tha sinn an dòchas gun do chòrd e ribh.

We had great fun at Cafaidh Gàidhlig yesterday when our Mums and Dads came in and joined us for a cup of tea.  We baked cakes on Tuesday and we also sang ‘Air a Chroit aig Calum Ruadh’ complete with puppets (we even had a panda!) and we also read out some poems we had written.

We hope you enjoyed the c afe and we hope you all have a great summer holiday.

Cùm suas a Ghàidhlig!

A’ Chlas Ghàidhlig air Radio nan Gaidheal!/Gaelic Class interviewed for BBC Radio ‘Aileag’ programme

Bha na sgoilearan air an clàradh le Radio nan Gaidheal an-diugh airson a phrògram Aileag. Bha iad a’ bruidhinn mu dheidhinn a’ gluasad air ais dhan sgoil.  Bidh e air an-diugh (Dihaoine) agus a-rithist a-màireach (Disathairne) aig 12:00.  Eistibh a-mach!

The Gaelic Class children were interviewed on BBC Radio nan Gaidheal for the Aileag programme, when they talked about their move back to the school.  This will be broadcast at 2pm today (Friday) and also tomorrow (Saturday) at 12 midday.

End of our first week

Thàinig Mrs Laird dhan chlas an-diugh agus dh’fhaighnich i dha na sgoilearan ciamar a chaidh a’ chiad seachdain, dè tha math agus ciamar a b’urrainn dhuinn rudan a dhèanamh nas fheàrr. Seo na rudan a thuirt iad:

I (Mrs Laird) visited the children today to see how their first week back had been.

What’s gone well?/De bha math?

  • Playing with new friends
  • Visiting the other classes and working together with them (P6/7)
  • Making new friends
  • Making friends with old friends
  • The play kitchen
  • Cleverboard – it can move and change colour!
  • Puppet show
  • Singing
  • Chess club
  • New topic – crofts and farming

What are you looking forward to?/De tha thu coimhead air adhart ris?

  • Café
  • Having parents visit
  • The play
  • Baking

It would be even better if…../Bhiodh e nas fhearr buileach….

  • We could make the play kitchen even bigger
  • We could bring a lamb into school!

The children also visited the portacabin to see their old area and discussed the changes.  It was great to hear how much they are enjoying their new classroom and experiences.
